I'm so happy with how seamless this program can be implemented into a busy lifestyle. I completed this course while working part-time + completing my college courses. The option to extend homework lessons and have help anytime of day allowed me to take my time with this course in confidence. There is so much to learn but the design of this program and the resources provided makes the completion easily within reach.

I love learning with shecodes! Great and simple instructions. The homework and challenges keeps you on your toes to meet the deadlines. They make learning fun after you see what can be done with simple coding. Cant wait for the next level!

I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes basic workshop. CSS , Html and Javascript went from being things that were foreign to me ,to being coding languages whose functionality made sense to me. The reviews for the homework we had to submit weekly , helped me improve my work and always served as a learning opportunity.

This workshop helped me broaden my interests and was super easy to follow. While (very!) challenging, the step-by-step approach made it easy to follow and learn the classes and I was always very eager to complete the challenges and the weekly homeworks. The Slack channels help you with any questions you may have and there is always someone there to help you! I will for sure continue to learn with SheCodes! :)

The SheCodes basics workshop was excellent! I had been debating a career change and was hesitant about diving in and spending a lot of time and money on something I wouldn't enjoy. The combination of short videos and homework assignments made coding easy to digest. Matt was comprehensive and to the point and with the help of the SheCodes slack team, I was able to complete all my assignments. I am finishing this course with the confidence to know I CAN code, and I will be enrolling in the SheCodes Max program next.

SheCodes Basic wasn't always easy, but the easy access to support, the well-made videos, the challenges/homework, and flexible yet straightforward structure with deadlines made it doable. The course made a very good impression on me. I went through it with great interest. I like that the lessons are short. And after the lessons you have to do your homework immediately and then you can always find out the right answer.

This program made learning the basics of coding very accessible and doable. The tutorials, explanations, challenges, and weekly homework are great ways to begin coding if you don't have any experience. Perfect for novices. I do recommend it especially if you have any inkling of interest.

The SheCodes workshop has not only taught me HTML, CSS, Javascript, React and many more technologies. I have always found coding interesting, but I never felt confident/settled enough to sign up for courses. I recently got hired for a new and exciting role in my school division (I am a teacher) as an Educational Technology Coordinator. A part of my role will also be working with computers and computer science, so I wanted to get a headstart this summer on improving my basic coding skills. From the first webinar, I knew that SheCodes would be a great program fit for me. You can go at your own pace, however, I found it really easy to complete the lessons and homework earlier than anticipated. The entire SheCodes Basics program was so easy to follow - I loved the lessons and Matt is a wonderful teacher who explains things. You can tell he is very passionate about coding and has so much knowledge to share. I learned many practical tips. The homework is challenging, however, with supports like the Slack channel and Athena AI, I had no issues. I've decided that after completing the Basics Program, I am definitely going to continue my SheCodes journey! I cannot wait to continue to learn and grow with this program. This community of women is very inspiring.

I would compare taking this course to a rollercoaster ride. It was fun, challenging, and personally frustrating for me for like 85% of the time. But what stood out to me the most, — and honestly what pushed me to finish the course — was the constant encouragement from Matt. He acknowledges that learning how to code is tough and that we'll DEFINITELY be stumped from time to time with the course homework and challenges. Yet he emphasized that these are vital stepping stones in the learning process and that the end result will be rewarding — and indeed it is! I highly recommend this course and Matt's empowering approach to anyone eager to learn how to code.

I think the majority of this course needs to be re-recorded incorporating the SheCodes API. The Open Weather API is incredibly outdated and the majority of its features are no longer free. I spent hours trying to figure things out earlier on only to discover by week 5 that there is a SheCodes API, by which I have implemented features that are too dependent on the Open Weather API to be changed. I also think the whole Plan / Design / HTML / CSS parts of Week 7 and Week 8 need to be moved to earlier on. The homework in the earlier weeks already ask you to implement the final project, and it makes no sense that I am only receiving instructions (by which instructions are no longer needed because I have already figured out how to do things through StackOverflow) at Week 7. The work is redundant and unnecessary. I was able to get through the course fairly easily because I have pretty extensive coding experience but I must say the design of this course is a let-down.

This is the third SheCodes workshop I have completed, and it has been the most enjoyable so far! Having previously accomplished the SheCodes Plus workshop, I was excited to take on another challenge and further enhance my front-end development skills. This workshop is an incredible introduction to responsive design, multiple-page hosting, SEO, and more. Not only were the homework exercises engaging, but the final project was the most rewarding experience I have had (so far) learning with SheCodes. The online portfolio is an excellent way to showcase your coding progress and demonstrate the range of knowledge gained throughout the workshops. I can't wait to move on to the next course: SheCodes React!

This workshop was very challenging! I really didnt care for the use of different coding sites for the homeworks. It was definitely a huge difference from she codes-basics and i did learn alot

I enjoyed this month of learning html, css and Javascript. It was easy to navigate through lessons, was easy to understand how to do homework and was fun doing projects in the end of each week. The information was very clear and easy to understand. I would recommend this course to other beginners.

Learning to code is a lot of fun, but also very challenging. SheCodes, the team and Matt do a great job here and explain in detail how things work, but also give you the opportunity to figure out a few things by yourself or let's say let you try. But even if you are not able to do it by yourself at some point you have support helping you and always get a solution for the challenge/homework you had. This way you see exactly what has been down. Great workshop!! Lessons are clear and short with step-by-step explanations so you can easily follow. A big plus for the flexibility regarding lessons, homework, deadlines (not always easy to meet when you have other activities). I was already a little familiar with some of the coding languages and this course only confirmed my will to pursue a career in that area :-)

This was such an amazing journey! I started with some trepidation about understanding or even being able to execute code and I went from that to building my own landing page! Matt is a brilliant teacher. He made learning code an adventure and it helps that each module comes with practice homework. I enjoyed the structure of SheCodes video lessons. They gave enough detail to understand the concepts, while being short enough to keep your attention, and stay manageable. I enjoyed the small challenges and homework, because these were great ways to practice the concepts.

i have learnt alot from this programme, when i started i had little knowledge on developing web pages, now i am competing in the challenges which helps in practicing my coding. The homework and challenges really pushed me to research and implement new concepts.

There were so many things that I wished would have been different, that it would take me a really long time to mention them all. Most importantly: I really thing the videos should be revised. There are things that are outdated (like using clearfix) and no longer in use, tools that now have different versions (like bootstrap and netlify) which makes it harder to follow through the videos. But the lowest point is the lack of proper feedback on homework and (even more shocking for me) the final projects. It's "your solution works" kind of feedback. Personally, as someone who is learning to code, it's not *just* about the code working, I could really use feedback on how I could write it more clearly, etc. Otherwise I could just use an html/css/js validator and get pretty much the same answer. It's really a shame and I hope it changes in the future, because otherwise what's the difference between doing this or a full curse on udemy that costs 15€? One really wonders. Also bear in mind that unless you have nothing else going on in your life, 5 days a week is not enough to complete the week.

Thankful to have the opportunity to study the basics of coding. It was a nice experience. Grateful that there were options for extension especially when real life takes so much of my time, and for the feedback being given to my homework and projects. Looking forward to learning more here.

As a person who has a hard time self-learning, especially with CS, SheCodes's short-video format and simplistic yet detailed-enough explanations really motivated me to start and develop my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills. I especially love this class format with required challenges and homework to submit as it holds me accountable to learning coding skills associated with those languages very well, something I wouldn't necessarily have without this course.

Good introduction to basic HTML, CSS and Javascript. Videos and challenges are presented in a user friendly way however I think the support provided is lacking. Feedback on the homework is pre-defined responses with no personalisation. Whilst the Slack is good to seek help or to help other students, when the SheCode's staff get involved, they merely just fix the code for students without helping them understand what was wrong. I understand the principle of people trying to troubleshoot their own code and figure things out but for beginners, I think support to lay the foundations is very important. You could find all the information covered in this course online for free but if you're looking for the structure (which I was) it's a good starting point - albeit expensive for what it is.

This course has been challenging and hair pulling at times, however I have learnt a lot and even enjoyed myself. I am glad I was able to make it to the end of the course, understand new concepts, in HTML, CSS and JS, and be able to apply it in my homework and in my project.

The course was well-organized and easy to follow, especially the videos which are short and precise about the topic. The thing that made this platform unique is the fact that it has it all, like instructors that know the subject area well and explain it well so that everyone can understand within a short amount of time. There are homework's and projects to see your progress, and another platform called slack that help you communicate with other students/peers and the SheCodes team. I learned so much in a short amount of time even though I didn't have any prior knowledge about the subjects (html, CSS and JavaScript) before and now I'm already applying what I learned to my work. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to learn new skills or have new career.

Learning react is very crucial for anyone who wants to work as a front end developer and Shecode's react course is great for learning it. Such a great course for complete newbies like me just wanting to explore the world of coding. The course is broken into manageable chunks, easy to follow and the homework/project's really are fun to complete!

I enjoy learning although at some point I was having difficulties understanding the given formula's in order to finish homework. However, I am glad that I got a taste of what I can expect of coding, but I will not continue with the next level.

I had been wanting to try coding for a really long time, but was intimidated and did not know where to start. SheCodes opened the world of coding up to me and I have no doubt that I will be signing up for the longer courses. Matt makes the content easy to understand and the weekly homework assignments are challenging enough to keep you on your toes but not feel overwhelmed. I would highly recommend signing up!
